SimplyShot Terms of Use and End User License Agreement

Effective date: October 6, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Christian Bravo, doing business as SimplyShot ("we", "us") about your use of SimplyShot: the desktop application, the website and the account and subscription that go with them (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, or by installing, opening or using SimplyShot, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. What SimplyShot does

SimplyShot learns how you develop photos from Lightroom Classic catalogs you have already edited, and applies that style to new catalogs. Learning your style ("training") and editing both run on your own computer. Today it works with RAW photos in color and with Lightroom Classic catalogs; what it supports may change as the Service develops.

2. Beta

While SimplyShot is offered as a beta, it may contain errors, its features may change or be removed, and we may end the beta or limit how many people can join it. Free beta access can end at any time. Because it is a beta, the backups described in section 8 are especially important.

3. Your account

You need an account to download and use SimplyShot. You must give accurate information, keep your password safe, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and you confirm this when you create your account. One person, one account: accounts cannot be shared.

You stay signed in until you sign out. Creating profiles and editing catalogs need an internet connection, so that your account can be checked each time. Without one, you can open SimplyShot and look around, but not create or apply profiles; it tells you so when you try.

4. Trial, subscription and payment

  • Trial. New accounts may get one free trial of 30 days, or the length an invitation gives. One trial per person. When it ends, creating profiles and editing stop unless you subscribe.
  • Subscription. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The price, taxes and billing period are shown before you pay.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider under its own terms. We do not store your card details.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account. The Service keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • Refunds. Annual plans: if you ask within 14 days of the payment, we refund it in full and the subscription ends. Monthly plans are not refunded; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the month you paid for. Any right the law gives you, such as a right to withdraw from an online purchase, is not affected.
  • Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they apply, and you can cancel before they do.

5. License to use the software

While your account is in good standing, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SimplyShot for your own photography work, on up to the number of computers your plan allows (2), owned by you or your business. You can deactivate a computer from your account to use SimplyShot on another one.

Each plan includes a number of profiles, shown when you choose it. Deleting a profile frees its place, and a deleted profile can no longer be used.

Fair use. An account is for one photographer. It is not meant to be shared by several people, or used for editing work done by others for you; a studio with several editors should contact us for a plan that fits. To keep this fair, we look at how often computers are activated and changed on an account. If something looks like sharing, we will contact you before taking any other step.

SimplyShot is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights in it, including its models and methods, that these terms do not grant to you.

6. What you may not do

You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent, sublicense or share SimplyShot or your account;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or try to extract its source code, models or methods, except where the law expressly allows it despite this limitation;
  • remove or bypass any protection, account check, license or usage limit, connect SimplyShot to a server that is not ours, or use automated means to access the Service in ways it was not designed for;
  • interfere with the Service, its servers or other people's use of it;
  • use SimplyShot to build a competing product;
  • use it in breach of any law or of anyone else's rights.

7. Your photos, catalogs and profiles

Your photos, your Lightroom catalogs and the editing profiles SimplyShot learns from your work are yours. They are processed on your computer and are not uploaded to us. You give us no rights over them, and we never use them to train any model.

To protect your style, profiles are encrypted with a key that belongs to your account. SimplyShot gets that key from us when you use a profile, together with a license signed by us, and does not store it on your computer, so your profiles open only in SimplyShot, signed in to your account, while it is in good standing. Only the key travels, never the profile.

You are responsible for having the right to use the photos and catalogs you work with.

8. Your catalogs: back them up

SimplyShot only reads the catalogs it learns from. It writes develop settings into the catalog you choose to edit, adds a step named after your profile to each edited photo's history, and makes a backup of that catalog first. Photos in that catalog that you already edited yourself are left as they are. Even so, software can fail: keep your own backups of your catalogs and photos, and review the results before you deliver them to anyone.

9. Third-party software and trademarks

  • SimplyShot uses Adobe DNG Converter, which is Adobe's software under Adobe's terms. If you choose to install it from SimplyShot, it is downloaded from Adobe's servers and you accept Adobe's terms for it.
  • SimplyShot works with Adobe Lightroom Classic, which you must license from Adobe separately.
  • Adobe, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic are trademarks of Adobe Inc. SimplyShot is an independent product, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Adobe or any other company whose products it works with. Other names are the trademarks of their owners.
  • SimplyShot includes open-source software under its own licenses; see "Open-source licenses" in the application.

10. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or reports, we may use them to improve SimplyShot without any obligation to you. This does not give us any right over your photos, catalogs or profiles.

Error reports and usage figures. By default, SimplyShot sends us error reports and usage figures, such as how long creating a profile or editing a catalog took and the model of your computer's processor and graphics card, as the Privacy Policy describes. They never include your photos, catalogs, develop settings or profiles. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Account, and the app keeps working the same.

11. Updates and changes

We may update SimplyShot to fix problems, add features or keep it secure, and the app may offer or require an update to keep working. We may change these terms; if a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, you can cancel.

12. No warranty

SimplyShot is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the edits it makes will match your intent, that it will work with every catalog, camera or Lightroom Classic version, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, photos, catalogs, profits or business, arising from your use of SimplyShot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used SimplyShot in breach of these terms, or because you did not have the right to use the photos or catalogs you worked with, you will cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

15. Ending the agreement

You can stop using SimplyShot and ask us to delete your account at any time, from your account page or by email. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we stop offering the Service, in which case we will refund any prepaid, unused period. When the agreement ends you must uninstall SimplyShot.

Your photos and catalogs stay on your computer, and so do your profiles. If your subscription ends, the profiles open again when you subscribe again with the same account. If your account is deleted, the key that opens your profiles is deleted with it, and they can no longer be opened. Your catalogs keep every edit already written into them.

Sections 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 continue to apply after the agreement ends.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and applicable United States federal law, without regard to their conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in them removes rights you have as a consumer under the laws where you live, including the right to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you one.

17. General

  • Electronic communications. You agree that we may communicate with you by email and in the app, and that these terms and notices given that way are valid in writing.
  • Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right at some point, we can still enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them to a company that takes over the Service, and we will tell you if we do.
  • Events beyond control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control.
