Get started in three steps
Install
Open the file you downloaded and follow the installer. You also need the free Adobe DNG Converter, from Adobe; the installer can also set it up for you.
Open SimplyShot and sign in with this same account. It activates this computer.
Teach it your style
Pick the Lightroom Classic catalogs you have already edited. After that, it edits new shoots the way you would.
If your computer shows a warning
SimplyShot is new, so Windows and macOS do not recognize it yet and may ask you to confirm the first time you open it. This is normal, and you only do it once.
Microsoft Edge: «… isn't commonly downloaded»
Edge often blocks new apps, and depending on its version it may not let you keep the file. Open this page in Chrome or Firefox and download it there. It is the same file.
Windows: «Windows protected your PC»
- Click More info.
- Check that it says SimplyShot Setup, then click Run anyway.
Mac: «SimplyShot cannot be opened» or «Apple could not verify…»
- Drag SimplyShot to the Applications folder and try to open it once. Click Done or OK.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to SimplyShot. Confirm with your password.
Mac: «SimplyShot is damaged and can't be opened»
It is not damaged: macOS says this about apps downloaded from the internet that it does not know yet. After dragging SimplyShot to Applications, open Terminal (in Applications → Utilities), paste this line and press Return:
xattr -cr /Applications/SimplyShot.app
Then open SimplyShot as usual. Still stuck? Contact support.
Works with Lightroom Classic catalogs and RAW photos in color. Black and white, JPEG, Capture One and Lightroom (the cloud version) are not supported yet.
Updates arrive inside the app: when there is a new version, it tells you and downloads it. On Windows it installs with one click; on Mac it opens the installer for you. Need help? Contact support.
